Abstract. Eighteen genera of ammonites are recorded from the Santonian to Maastrichtian rocks of Scania in southern Sweden. Ammonites are fairly common in the Vomb Trough, rare in the Kristianstad Basin and not recorded from the Båstad Basin.   The integral investigation of the upper Campanian‒Maastrichtian section near the settlement of Nizhnyaya Bannovka (Krasnoarmeiskii district, Saratov oblast) included its detailed lithological description and the study of different organic remains (belemnites, benthic and planktonic foraminifers, radiolarian, calcareous nannofossils, dinocysts) with the analysis of .

Upper Cretaceous belemnites from the Vomb Trough in Scania, Sweden (Ser. Ca--Avhandlingar och uppsatser I A4) by Walter Kegel Christensen, Björn Öhlander, David Terence Rickard, Gabor Gaál, Ingmar Lundström, Jan Sverre Sandstad, Lennart Jeppsson, Michael B. Stephens, Svein Olerud, Thomas Lundqvist, Heikki Papunen, P. Weihed, Peter M. Ihlen. The Köpinge Sandstone is a highly calcareous and glauconitic sandstone geologic formation of the Vomb Trough in Skåne, southernmost formation dates to the latest early to middle late Campanian stage of the Late Cretaceous and has provided fossils of ammonites, belemnites, the shark Cretalamna borealis and the mosasaurid Tylosaurus, originally .

Abstract: Shallow marine, nearshore strata of earliest Campanian (Gonioteuthis granulataquadrata belemnite Zone) and latest Early Campanian (informal Belemnellocamax mammillatus belemnite zone) age in the Kristianstad Basin, southern Sweden, have yielded isolated leptoceratopsid teeth and vertebrae, representing the first record of horned dinosaurs . 1. Introduction. Belemnites belonging to the Late Cretaceous family Belemnitellidae Pavlow, were typical inhabitants of the Northern Hemisphere shallower/platform seas. However, although these belemnites are a typical component of the Boreal faunal assemblages, their southward migrations have been recognized in several .
